You’ve been making dinnerware for a long time. Why the new collection, why now? The different pieces in our Gramercy dinnerware collection evolved over time as we were creating specific pieces for chefs we work with. Over the past few years we’ve really refined our plates and bowls, and this past summer we focused on filling-out the collection.

Behind-the-Scenes at Shindig No. 11
Summer is wrapping up and, for the third straight year, my last event of the summer was down at the Shoals as part of Billy Reid Shindig. It's a perfect mix of fashion, food, art, music and friends. This year our work was used at two Studio Series dinners, where some incredible chefs served up meals inside the iconic Muscle Shoals Sound Studios and Fame Recording Studios.

The team at Red Hook Tavern has been hard at work for a long time, and they opened this summer to rave reviews. The burger is already mentioned as one of the classic NYC burgers, and the rest of the menu rounds out to make Red Hook Tavern a place that feels like home. We're honored to be part of the family.

While we went big in some areas, we intentionally decided to go small in others. This year we purposefully decided to make less work than the year before. It's the first time in my studio career that fewer pots came out of the kilns. The traditional path of growth is easy to recognize... our new path was not as easy to find.
