Small Batch
I'm so excited about this drop. Mostly because of the glaze pattern I decided to use on this collection of work. These circles have appeared on some of my pots before in small amounts. Once right after moving to Austin in 2009 and again on a very limited batch of work in 2021. This pattern first came to life way back in 2000 when I was getting ready to fire my newly built soda-kiln. There was a little bit of room left in the kiln and Evangelina grabbed a brush and a cup to fill the last spot. She started painting circles on the surface of the cup. It came out of that firing beautifully. I can still see it. While I have no idea where that cup is now, Evangelina is still in my life and continues to influence my work every day.
Circling back almost 24 years later, I'm thrilled to release this collection of work with this pattern.
