For years I have brought random pieces home for Evangelina to use as planters. It’s usually a bowl that didn’t turn out quite right, a big piece that has cracked in the kiln, or an extra porcelain shade from a lighting project. It felt like time to finally bring some reeal planters to life in the studio this year and I’m in love with them. The forms are sleek and have an integrated base to catch soil and extra water. The surface is unglazed and sanded smooth after the firing. Best of all, Evangelina has filled each planter with succulents so each one is ready head home and find the perfect spot to grow.
