Our Work

Can I order plates for my home?
We would love that. Our dinnerware is made-to-order, and we’ll need up to eight weeks to make it for you. Each piece goes through more than 15 steps, and we have several options from sets of four individual plates up to dinnerware settings with three, five and seven pieces. Head over to our Dinnerware page to start your order.

Can I order plates for my restaurant?
Absolutely. Check out our Hospitality page and let us know how we can help!

How long does it take to make a full dinnerware set?
Start to finish, any individual pieces that we make in the studio takes about eight weeks to make it through the various steps.

Do you make custom pieces for retail clients?
Our proverbial plate is pretty full,  we are not making custom pieces for retail clients at this time.

Do you sell samples and seconds?
Yes, but rarely. We open the studio doors a few times each year for a Samples & Seconds Sale. We always announce these events on social media and via the Porcelain List newsletter. Makes sure you’ve signed up so you don’t miss out.

Our Craft

What are your products made out of?
Porcelain, it’s what’s for dinner. We use porcelain for all of our products for a variety of reasons, most of all, because we love it. It’s bright, takes glazes well, shows details beautifully and is super durable.

Porcelain is clay, like stoneware and earthenware. It happens to be pure white because it has no impurities in it such as iron oxide and (get ready to nerd out) porcelain clay deposits are typically found at the higher points of a riverbed and haven’t been dragged through the river picking up metal and other impurities along the way. Now you know.

Are your products food-safe?
Everything we make is food-safe, plus all of our pieces are safe for dishwashers, microwaves, freezers and ovens up to 480º F. Our clay and glazes are lead-free, and all of our work is high-fired to more than 2,300º F. 🔥

How do you make your products?
There’s a method to the madness. We use a variety of hand-crafting methods including jiggering, slip-casting, throwing, slab-building and just about any combo of these to make your new favorite porcelain piece.

Where are you located
Texas, y’all! If you’re in the Austin area, we’d love to show you around. Drop by our East Austin showroom and we’ll walk you over to the studio. Yes, we've got all the intel on where you should get your breakfast taco and what else is worth checking out in town.

Shipping

Where do you ship?
Right now we ship to all United States locations, however we are open to shipping elsewhere. Please send us a note at porcelain@keithkreeger.com if you plan to ship outside of the US, and we’ll figure it out together.

How long does it take for a package to arrive?
We typically ship via UPS ground. Depending on when the order was placed, packages typically go out within 3 days working days or less, and UPS Ground takes between 3-5 working days or less to deliver packages. We also offer expedited shipping on our website if it’s a porcelain emergency.

How do I check the status of a shipment?

Once your order is packed and shipped, you will receive an email with tracking information.

What if my products are damaged on arrival?
We work as hard at packing our work as we do at making it. While it’s rare that we have breakage, it can happen and it’s a total bummer. Please write to us immediately at porcelain@keithkreeger.com and let us know. Please keep your packaging material and we will supply you with a pre-paid shipping label to return your damaged items.

What do I do with my packaging?

All of our packing material, from the inner fill to the outer box is recyclable. We think that’s pretty cool.
